June 2022

Welcome Back!

Summer is rolling in, and we are pleased to release our third Newsletter of the year!

This April and May, we celebrated Women's History Month and Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the Bookstore. We also introduced our first live Author Events, hosted live music performances, and let the good times (and good eats) flow in the Cafe...and we've got even more planned for the coming months!

Missed the last issue? Find it here!

Thank You, Mill Valley!

Independent Bookstore Day 2022

On April 22nd, we celebrated National Independent Bookstore Day, linking us (and you) to independent bookstores all over the country for a day of joy and appreciation. It’s our pleasure to serve Mill Valley, and without people like you, we would not exist! Here’s to many more years of books, coffee, and community!

What's New at The Depot?

The Depot is happy to announce that we are now selling Naia Gelato Bars! Stop by the freezer in the Cafe to grab one of the many delicious flavors. It's the tastiest way to cool off from the sun!

Con-GRAD-ulations!

It’s Graduation season! Looking for a gift? From notebooks to cards, summer page-turners to life advice books, we have the perfect present for your 2022 grad! Just look for the white label around the store, or ask the Bookstore staff person at the counter for an expert opinion! Not sure what to get? A Bookstore gift certificate is the perfect choice for the open-minded!

Bookstore Mural: Books Begin With ABC

Check out our new continuous mural in the Children's Section of the Bookstore! Every month, new Richard Scarry critters and their zany vehicles appear on the wall, each corresponding to a letter of the alphabet. Which letter is your favorite? Can you guess who's who? You’ll want to come back every month to see the whole set!

New Treats in the Cafe!

Chef Oscar and the Cafe have been cooking up new dishes for the summer. Try the refreshing Vegetarian Tacos, a plate of delightfully sweet French Toast, decadent desserts, perfectly balanced salads, and more!
