Thanksgiving Play-a-Thon is Spreading Joy

Dear Olympic Strings Friends,

We hope you enjoyed a very happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones, and perhaps some live music by your talented family members.

This year, many Port Angeles residents in assisted living facilities are enjoying beautiful performances by our strings students, thanks to our Board Chair Kate Weller, who organized our first annual Thanksgiving Play-a-Thon, which brings music to those who need it most while supporting our scholarship fund.

Performances began yesterday and will continue throughout the weekend with nine of our students performing in person and remotely at these locations:

  • Highland Court Memory Care: Adam Weller and Tino Cardenes
  • Park View Villa: Courtney Smith, Flora Sullivan, and Lauren Waldron

  • St. Andrew's Place: Tino Cardenes, Olivia Wray, Olivia Carroll and Adam Weller

  • Laurel Park: Meiqi Lange, Adam Weller, Tino Cardenes, and Angelina Sprague

Please help support this effort by sponsoring a performance by one of our students. All donations go to our scholarship fund, making it possible for all eligible students living on the Olympic Peninsula to attend the Olympic Strings Camp tuition-free.

We appreciate your support!
