C&D is equal parts store, homage to american industry, and inspiration for crafting experiences in your own backyard.

You're just trying to mind your own business and enjoy the freedom of your entire family completely forgetting you on their way to Paris**, only to have Harry and Marv (aka The Wet Bandits aka 2020) show up and consistently rain on your parade while you're trying to live your best life. They just won't give up!

But we know how the story ends. This too shall pass. At some point, in the hard-to-belive-but-[hopefully]-COVID-free future, we'll all look back on this and ask ourselves WTF happened? Who knows, maybe handshakes, hugs, and social events that don't require a Level-3 hazmat suit will even make a comeback. One can only hope.

As we look forward into the unknown that is 2021 - with the pandemic and economic crisis of 2020 nipping at our heels - let us take a moment to channel a stoic, who would have no doubt enjoyed a strong cocktail while philosophizing about this past year...

"When you arise in the morning, think what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love."

-Marcus Aurelius

As the C&D Team closes out our year, we'd like to take a moment to mute the sarcastic tone that typically drives our marketing and say thanks. Seriously.

The support we've received from friends and family listening to us talk about this crazy idea, coupled with overwhelming encouragement, has been a really positive light in an otherwise dark year. And the warm welcome we've received from the cocktail community and our customers has been nothing short of awesome. If you're reading this, we're honored that you've followed us on this journey thus far and we sincerely hope that you'll stick around to see where we end up.

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and cheers to a new year!

**Ever wonder how Mr. McCallister afforded to send 15 people to Paris for Christmas? Fifteen tickets from Chicago to Paris at Christmas, 11 coach and four first-class for the adults would set you back around $35,000, and that's not even including the 30 COVID-19 tests you'd need for the roundtrip....**

MENTAL FLOSS

Auld Lang Syne

ɔl(d) læŋ ˈsaɪn/....? Perhaps you know the words to this tune, but if you're anything like us, you end up drunkenly mumbling along wondering how to even pronounce the title!

So, how did a Scottish folk song with nothing at all to do with New Year’s Eve become associated with the holiday? It’s largely thanks to bandleader Guy Lombardo. Find out why in this article...

SPOTIFY

Christmas Classics

There's a time and a place for the New Age teeny-bopper Christmas songs, but if you're drinking anything other than a Capri Sun while sitting next to your fire place and Christmas tree, let's begin by paying homage to the greats.

Let Sinatra, Crosby, Bennet, and King Cole kick off what is sure to be a merry evening...
