Come Together We have just passed Winter Solstice, the days will eventually become longer & the Matariki star cluster is back in our night skies. This cluster of stars is known by many names throughout the world. In English, derived from the Greek language, it is referred to as 'Pleiades'; in Japan, it is called 'Sabaru' & in India, it is known as 'Krittika'. Essentially all these names translate to "Come Together". This past week we had a loss in our family, a talented, cheeky young man. I have been with my family in a time of mourning & remembering those who have passed, which for me, has brought on a cathartic healing. I truly believe it is a time to come together, when things are dark, we need one another's support to get through. Balsamic Moon offers some vices to bring comfort, whether it's to calm irritated skin or help clear your mind - maybe these gems created from elements of nature will help. |

Maramataka calendars highlight the connection between the moon & our wellbeing. Balsamic Moon aligns itself with the ethos of observing nature & working with that wonderful beast. It is actually a challenge to do that! There needs to be a balance between the modern world we live in & nature. Maybe we can start by just being aware, watching nature, observing the tides & the season in hopes we can become attune. To align ourselves with Matariki here is a great FREE downloadable resource. A moon calendar leading up to June 2025. |

Lunar Gardening Hold tight till the weekend to get into the garden. You could use this time to plan your Spring garden. It's still a good time to plant fruit trees on the weekend. It is also a good time to weed around your winter vegetables in the garden - they do not like competing for nutrients. Now is the time to divide bulbs under the ground, as they are dormant over winter. It is not a good time to transplant plants into the garden because it is said that their growth will be slow. But its all good to sow root vegetables. |
