Christmas Market Recap

Hi Everyone,

It has been over two weeks since Braeside Camp's Drive-Thru Nativity & Christmas Market. I have since completed an online oil painting course (and unpacked decorations), but I wanted to show you the presentation of my pieces on the two days of the sale. Here is how I arranged them for the first evening.

You can see on the table that I had a couple new designs for small cards, including a photo and a gouache painting. Under the catalogue of my work with my bio on the front, you may notice the title "Tell Me the Story." This was a colouring booklet with the stories of my church's Missionary partners around the world, which I had the pleasure of illustrating. (Maybe I will find a way to share it with you if you haven't seen it yet.) It was great for this context, since there were lots of kids and young families there.

Below is the sunset on the second evening at Braeside with its decorations and lights, and the next arrangement of my display table.

The sale went okay; I sold several cards and three limited edition prints, and people I know came by to support me. I enjoyed seeing all the festivity for so many families. Besides the live Nativity scene and petting zoo, playing on a screen outside was an animated film of the Christmas story from a donkey's perspective. It’s called "The Star" and I would certainly recommend it.

I love this lyric video for the song "Can You See," which you can watch at the link below.
