Visitation Rule Change

The Government recently updated their guidance around visitation for Care Homes. We have now updated our Visiting Policy (click here to read it) to reflect these changes. In summary:

  • Visits can now take place in the lounges between 10:30 and 8pm, without scheduling a visit (unless there is an outbreak)

  • 2 visitors are allowed into the lounge per resident at a time (16+)

  • If you would prefer a room visit, please continue using our booking system to schedule this (any children under 16 will only be permitted to visit in the resident's bedroom)

  • Mealtimes are protected and you should not visit during these times, unless you intend to assist with their meal

We would like to remind all guests that you are entering our resident's home, so please respect their dignity, space and their conditions at all times during your visit.

King's Coronation Party

A reminder to let us know if you would like to come to our Coronation Party on Wednesday 3rd May.

If you would like to join us, please speak with Sam or Tracey and let us know how many people would like to come, or you can leave a voicemail at reception.

Please let us know if you would like to come by 19th April, so we can prepare for this day.

Once all names are registered, we can let you know if we can accommodate everyone’s request.

Thanks,

Sam

Relatives and Friends Survey- Feedback

We would like to begin by thanking everyone who completed our relatives & friends survey last month. Our Manager has been busy responding to everyone who left their details with us over the last few weeks.

We had some excellent feedback from everyone. Overall, the feedback was very positive, especially around the care we provide and the cleanliness of our Home. Here is some of the feedback we received:

  • "Greatest strength is the kindness of staff"

  • "The staff are friendly and caring ,the place is clean"

  • "[the staff take] the time to explain things to us"

However, based on your feedback, we have found areas which we would like to improve for you, such as returning your calls and visitation. We will be working on improving the response time for returning calls and voicemails and we hope you see improvements soon.

Thankfully, the visitation rules have now been updated by the Government, so visiting rules have been greatly relaxed. Please read our update above regarding the changes.

We appreciate your ongoing support and feedback, and look forward to continuing to improve our services based on your input.

Thank you once again for joining our mailing list. We look forward to seeing you all again soon, stay safe!
