Hello all you awesome subscribers and welcome to my June newsletter. I finally made it onto a Mediterranean cruise that was cancelled due to the pandemic, my first holiday abroad for a while. I absolutely love cruising, and of course it's a great opportunity to wear me made clothing. In the run up I managed to finish a fourth t-shirt (blog post updated), the others having been mentioned in previous newsletters. |

This one was in meetMILK derby ribbed jersey with Tencel. The Tencel makes it so soft and comfortable to wear. It was my first time sewing with ribbed fabric and the very stretchiness made it a little more challenging, particularly when attaching clear elastic to the neckline and shoulder seam. However, it turned out just fine and made it onto the cruise. I am wearing it here with my Liberty Zina Wrap Skirt / Simplicity 8606. |

I also took my second Sagebrush Top with me, made with Atelier Brunette gingham double gauze in rust. The fabric is double-sided so I played with the different sized checks on each side, and I made some changes to the sleeves to massively reduce the volume. This took a bit of trial and error to get the result I wanted which I detail in my blog post, with photos of how I made the changes. I absolutely adore the final result, and was particularly pleased with the pattern matching! |
