🏷 Stampede Weekend SALE (May 27-31). Up to 40% off clothing, accessories, and select bikes.

🔧 Repairs?
The current turnaround for a basic tune is approximately 7-10 days (with an expected influx during Stampede Weekend). Walk-ins are welcomed, and appointments are appreciated. Please call 541-719-1213 to schedule.

Please note that receiving certain parts takes longer than usual because of increased demand and industry shortages.

📦 Stuff Is Coming In
Deliveries are finally starting to come in at a rate similar to the pre-Covid days. New merchandise and bikes are arriving daily; we have a great selection!

🚴‍♂️ McKenzie Pass Update
McKenzie pass is rideable to the top from the east side. ODOT requests no riding to be done on weekdays until 3 PM because they have heavy equipment working to clear debris and open the west side.

Check blazinsaddleshub.com/mckenziepass to keep up on the latest information.

🔨 Remodel Complete!

As promised, here are some photos of the shop remodel! We pushed out the counter so we have a larger workspace and did a bunch of subtle adjustments elsewhere. Come to the shop to see it for yourself!

Sisters Stampede 🏁

Sisters’ premier mountain bike race is back! While registration is sold out, you can get on a waitlist or just plan to spectate (guaranteed good times and beer). If you’re interested in volunteering, keep scrolling to the STA section to sign up to help out.

Racer packet pick up will be on the 28th from 10-4 PM at the shop.

On May 28, from 4-8 PM, Three Creeks will be throwing a Summer Kickoff Party. There will be food carts, live music, and plenty of beer. See you then, at 265 E. Barclay Dr!

Sister’s Youth Mountain Bike Team Being Formed 🤗

Jon Fogarty, the coach of the Deschutes County NICA team, recently moved to Sisters and is looking to start a mountain biking team in Sisters. Come to the shop on June 1st at 6 PM to learn more!

More about the Oregon Interscholastic Team:

“The Oregon Interscholastic Cycling League was organized in 2017 to provide a fun, safe and high quality mountain biking program for students in grades 6 to 12. With the cooperation of our partners and our sponsors, we are able to provide high quality experiential education through mountain biking. Regardless of ability level, the Oregon League is committed to providing a positive experience for all student-athletes. We believe forming middle and high school teams is the best way for students to learn how to ride safely, to acquire safe riding techniques, and to develop the ability to teach these skills to others.”

Allingham Trail Skills College ✏️

In 2022 the PCTA and Deschutes National Forest plan on hosting an in-person Trail Skills College event for volunteers to learn about trail maintenance and stewardship from June 2-5. Beginners and seasoned trail workers alike can benefit from the courses being offered. Courses will be offered at the Allingham Guard Station near Camp Sherman. Learn more and see all the classes offered by visiting: https://www.pcta.org/volunteer/trail-skills-college/allingham/.

BMC Full Suspension Gravel Bike 🤯

While the trails dry out, it's prime time for gravel. Check out BMC’s insane new URS LT (it’s a gravel bike with 20mm of suspension). This bike is the future of gravel riding!

You Could Be In A Parade

We'll be marching in the Rodeo Parade on June 11th and we'd love to have you join us! Hikers, bikers, horseback riders and trail workers too - everyone's welcome to join in the fun. The first 20 people to respond will get a free STA t-shirt. Email Paula for more info or to sign up to participate.

Central Oregon Trail Alliance May Update ☑️

From COTA Trail News - May:

First Annual Rider Survey

Take our quick First Annual Rider Survey and tell us what types of trails and other riding experiences you’d like to see more of. Survey data helps us prioritize, seek grant funding, and advocate to land managers. Everyone who uses Central Oregon trails is encouraged to participate!

Sisters Chapter:

Twelve brave souls came out in the snow and wind to help spruce up Bike Park 242 to start off the season. We did a lot of raking, brushing, and removed rock and other debris from the pump tracks and jump lines. The berms on the large pump track were repaired so that now there is continuous flow around the track once again. Some folks even started to build the lips on some of the larger jumps. You can sign up at the Meetup link here.

This Month's Must Watch 📺

In the heart of Virginia, the Richmond Cycling Corps (RCC) is hard at work connecting with local youth and helping them discover the power of cycling. RCC Director Matt Kuhn has built an incredible community of young cyclists and has helped kids find their way as aspiring engineers, professional racers, and influential community members. Matt's passion for the sport helps create a common ground for these young riders to explore their new talents and connect with other cyclists.

We hope this Monthly Roundup brought you value. Please don’t hesitate to respond to this email with your thoughts and feedback. Thanks for being here.

See you at the Stampede,

Live to Ride

Ride to Live

A note from our pals at Dirty Freehub: We are deeply thankful to Blazin Saddles for sponsoring Dirty Freehub. We have over 10,000 miles across the Western US of curated gravel bike routes. Besides inspiring you to get out and ride, we also want you to LOVE where you ride. Our routes have loads of information about art, history, culture, and the environment so you can really connect to these special places. Riding out of Sisters has a million different options, so use our route guides to help you plan out where you ride. Many thanks to Blazin Saddles for their kind support.
