Nantwich Buddies

July Newsletter

As restrictions start to lift and life starts returning to normal, the Buddies are taking stock of all the fabulous work our volunteers have completed.  We've also been reviewing our service in line with what support our community continues to need.

We were sad to complete our last shift at the vaccination clinic last month. A great big THANK YOU to all our volunteers who took part in helping with the vaccine rollout at the Nantwich Civic Hall. It's been an amazing experience for both residents and Buddies.

Don't forget to visit our Nantwich Buddies website and Blog where we continue to share the amazing stories from our Buddies. Who reflect on their experiences and share stories of the people they have met during their time as a volunteer.

6-Week Wellness programme a success

As part of our volunteer group, we ran a free 6-week online wellness course called the Happy Appy.

Here's a little more about the Happy Appy and what our participants thought about the course and how it helped maximise their happiness!

Happy Appy a Success!

Calling all Volunteers!

As part of the community efforts to support Nantwich in Bloom, Nantwich Civic Society is calling all VOLUNTEERS to help ON TUESDAY 27TH JULY starting 6 PM at the church compound behind the church at the end of Bowling Green car park.

Bring your brushes, buckets, sponges, mops, hoes, weeders, litter pickers etc. so we can all spruce up the town and the judges' route. They are judging on Friday 30th - so there may be other sessions between the 27th and 29th.
If you can help, please just turn up with whatever tools you can muster or just your gardening gloves!

Buddies presented with £1,000 cheque at charity pizza night

Liz had a lovely surprise when invited to Martin Digger Andrews charity pizza night.

Martin and his wife Wendy have been raising money for a young man in Nantwich and little did Liz know, they were planning to donate to Nantwich Buddies too! Dr Kieran Mullan MP presented a cheque for £1,000 to Liz during the evening!

Thank you so very much to Martin and Wendy, your kindness has touched all of us here at Nantwich Buddies and as Kieran said, for an organisation as small as ours, £1,000 will go a very long way!
