Appleseed Country Fair

The Appleseed Country Fair returns with an impressive music and entertainment line-up, vendors & activities for all ages!

Located at Red Apple Farm in Phillipston. Admission is only $15 per car with proceeds to benefit the Athol Fire Department & Phillipston Fire Department Associations. This event is supported in part by Fitchburg Cultural Council.

Film Screening: Sergei Eisenstein's STRIKE

The first feature film by the director of Battleship Potemkin, Sergei Eisenstein's STRIKE is a visual tour-de-force that employs dynamic editing and experimental camerawork to dramatize the saga of a bitterly fought factory strike in 1903. $16 admission ($10 for members), includes popcorn.

“Still Chasing the Fire”

Stratton Players and Fitchburg Historical Society present “Still Chasing the Fire,” a tribute to Civil War veterans who later became firefighters in Fitchburg on Saturday, September 10, at 11 am. The presentation will be followed by a walking tour. Admission is free, though donations will be accepted.

This is a cross country 5K event at the beautiful Hollis Hills Farm. Runners and walkers are welcome to register. Stay and enjoy the food and music after the race.

All proceeds benefit our local Veterans via the Friends of Fitchburg Veterans emergency relief fund and the Fitchburg Veterans Council.

The largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, the Local Cultural Council (LCC) Program enriches the cultural life of all cities and towns in Massachusetts. LCCs award over $4 million every year, supporting 6,000 cultural programs that include everything from field trips to lectures, festivals, and dance performances.

Mass Cultural Council’s Cultural Sector Recovery Grants for Individuals offers unrestricted grants of $5,000 to creatives and gig workers to support recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and set a path for growth.
