Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

It is December! After 647328 months of 2020, we have finally come to the 12th month of the year. We have been doing a lot of reflection over the last year (as one does when one nears the end of the year). This year did not go to plan. We are sure most of you can relate. By December 2020, we were going to have had two more new writing productions and we would be applying for Ed Fringe 2021. None of these plans have happened and we haven't actually seen each other in person since March (March!!). But what we have gained is a real understanding and appreciation of how we work individually and how we work together. We embarked on this journey of a theatre company as great friends and this year we have found that we also work really well together. We are so excited for the creativity that has happened this year - even if it is not what we thought it would look like. We have had a chance to  think about what we want to bring to the theatre space and how we want to support each other creatively. Time to think and reflect wasn't necessarily a top priority going into this year but it has proved invaluable. With that, we wish you all a wonderful holiday season and we will see you in the New Year! Come on 2021!

Much love,

Steph and Charlotte

our news

We have been steadily writing our blog during Novermber. Since we saw you last, we now have four posts for you to peruse and new blogs are posted every Wednesday. Currently the topics cover self-tapes, Shakespeare monologues, and online zoom rehearsals. Please let us know if you would like us to write about anything in particular! We are having so much fun writing and being creative in this way on the website and would love input.

Steph has been working on a new play, Relative Motion, and we are preparing to do an open rehearsal reading over zoom on the 18th of December at 2:30pm. Please reply to this message if you would like to watch!

We are gearing up to do a Zoom reading of new plays which we are sure will bring new challenges and we will learn a lot. We are starting small as we tip toe into this new arena of online plays and online theatre. There will definitely be a lot to write about on that so stay tuned for next month's newsletter.

However, for this month, we wanted to focus on taking time off. This is a holiday season and can often be quieter. Here are our thoughts on the subject: TAKE ADVANTAGE.

This year has been absolutely exhausting and scary. It has been uncertain and difficult. There have been new opportunities and time to spend with family. There is a lot to be grateful for. However, it has also been a time of loneliness and a time of loss. All of these feelings take their own time and need their own space. Let them breathe.

Then create. If it takes you. Write down anything when you can. You have so much to offer the world as we come out of this and emerge into a new year. But you have to be rested to be able to do all the fabulous things you are going to do.

Have some mulled wine, eat all the mince pies, nap and we will see you in the New Year!
