Elsewhere
Elsewhere came to me as a gift in a dream
She said I know you doing want to be here
You want to fly and be free
Let me take you to a place where dreams are real
Let me show you what it means to live
Let me draw you into the bosom of your being
To experience what it means to be truly free
Elsewhere spoke for what seems an enternity
As she spoke I found myself floating on her words
Twirling in and out of places and scenes
Places and scenes far removed from the reality of the moment
And as I looked Elsewhere became a huge bird
Climbing on her back she flew into the distance
And suddenly Elsewhere, the bird became Elsewhere, the place
Luscious green with fruiting trees everywhere
Laughing voices, singing voices, conversation voices everywhere
And suddenly I am surrounded by people
Everyone looking an aspect of myself
They called my name welcoming me
Long lost friends, relatives, loved ones greeted me
Others cried in joy of knowing I have returned
And I found myself remembering the journey
Every step of the way that got me to this place
To this point
I could taste it and with pounding joyful heart I knew
I knew Elsewhere was home with all it familiarities
The ones lost and forgotten on the sojourn not of our making
A sojourn in a wilderness of unfamiliarity, despair and rejection
I am home I hear myself say
And the words became Elsewhere the memory seated with
Elsewhere the place
It was then I realised Elsewhere had always watched over me
Waiting for my acknowledgement
And so Elsewhere.....
Elsewhere I welcome you
