Ananya Garg will be performing at Gay City: Seattle's LGBTQ Center on May 18th! Woogee Bae, Katelyn Oppegard, Abi Pollokoff, and myself are reading on May 4th at Open Books. Join us! It will be my first time publicly reading in about 4.5 years, so, I can't promise much on that end, but Woogee, Katelyn, and Abi inspire me daily. Would love support! Kara Jackson has been named the 2019 National Youth Poet Laureate! Joshua Burton was named a Tin House Scholar for 2019! Gabrielle Bates had a poetry comics collaboration in POETRY, became Adroit Journal Gregory Djanikian Scholar, and had her poem, “Strawberries” included in the Harvard Advocate’s Women’s Issue! Abi Pollokoff was the February poet in residence for The Seattle Review of Books and has accepted a position as the Managing Editor for Poetry NW Editions! Alonso Llerena participated in the Winter Tin House Workshop with Solmaz Sharif, has been invited to the Summer Edition with Natalie Diaz, and has had oodles of pubs, including poems in Inkwell and Anastamos! Catherine Bresner is an Artist-in-Residence at the NW Film Forum! She is will debut her video poetry during the Cadence Film Festival on April 25th! |
