It's been a great end to the fiscal year for us. After years of hard work, we received recognition for our work in the form of Nutrition Award 2022 from Glenmark Foundation, World Food Programme and Idobro! This has been a great boost for our team, which has been working relentlessly over the past few years, powering through various challenges including COVID, lockdowns, and school closures. This award is in recognition of the impact created by our School Nutrition Awareness Program, particularly on improving diet diversity among children. Our pilots have shown the strength of this program. So we are trying to scale it up to reach more children and multiply our impact. If you know of any schools, especially government schools or affordable private schools, that may be interested in the program, please do let us know. We are now ready with our goals for the next fiscal year! And as always, we need your support. You can read more about how you can donate or volunteer to support us. Do check out Bhavya's story about her volunteering experience with us. We also present to you another fun way to support us. Our fundraiser healthy cooking workshop is taking place tomorrow (Apr 2)! We encourage you to register for our healthy cooking workshop and share it widely. Wish you a great new fiscal year ahead! Happy eating! Raadhika Gupta |

Meet Bhavya Bhagirathi Volunteer and Undergraduate Student "This started as an internship and now has become a part of my life which added values and a feeling of positive impact and productivity." "I joined Foodshaala as a Content Writer and Social Media Volunteer. This is the first time I was volunteering for an NGO and it felt really good. It not only gave me an opportunity to use my creativity and content writing skills, but also made me learn many things about food and nutrition. As a content writer, I used to frequently check the Foodshaala social media pages before writing captions for posts which made me discover more and more of their work that inspired me a lot. Participating in healthy cooking workshops was a really good experience. This started as an internship and now has become a part of my life which added values and a feeling of positive impact and productivity. Thank you Foodshaala for giving me this opportunity and helping me acquire new skills. Looking forward to learning more!" |
