UYI gained a lot of momentum in the value system and as a brand. We engaged in numerous conversations with practitioners, doctors, healthcare professionals, business owners and thought leaders. This has continuously shaped up our evolution keeping our cause and purpose absolutely intact. We rather consolidated feedback on our cause supporting Preventive Care, Global Health, Demonetization and Democratization. There's never been a better time than this for all of us to focus on our health and avoid going to doctors, hospitals and emergencies as much possible. And we strongly believe we can do it.
In these trying times of COVID pandemic, almost every country is trying their best to tackle the situation from all the dimensions - economically, politically, medically, socially, etc. Everyone is realizing the gap in our health systems, may not be directly related to COVID but has brought all the downside of current health system in front of us. We need to take responsibility of our own health; governments agencies can and should help only when you fail and on the emergency side. Insurance companies should have incentivized model on preventive care and help people financially for preventive care. At least they should start those plans now. Of numerous conversations with doctors, experts and the care-seekers globally, the most relevant to our purpose were from India. The reason may be that India has a long history of pioneering healthcare systems - Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Acupressure, etc. Doctors and experts from India strongly feel that there's a lot bigger role they have to play in the global care, more importantly because world needs them. The global community of experts and care-seekers also feels the same. They expect the originality of holistic wellness from India. UYI is putting a lot of effort in shaping up and evolving an export of holistic wellness and care from India to the whole world.
We were talking to one of the Yoga expert in East Coast, USA. She is a Cannabis Yoga expert and has hundreds of followers and students across USA. In her words, although she teaches Yoga mixing cannabis she is aware that it is not original. It is working well as a good business but not a good care of people. And that's where, global community expects India to teach the originality and real care to the globe. India also needs to teach the same to a part of itself. The holistic approach Indian Health Systems consider - physical, mental and cosmic wellbeing has its richness in making all the humans exist as healthy being in this planet.
We loved to hear the feedback from care-seekers in UK and Japan that excessive processing is killing the nutritional value of natural food and that's adding to diseases like allergies, cancer and a lot of lifestyle diseases. Big food companies are building product variants out of milk, vegetables, nuts and almost any food item. They are segregating them into organic/non-organic for their revenue and margins. They worked in some cases mostly business-wise, however, somehow most of these processing have taken a huge toll on our basic health and immune system. We are glad that UYI considers this as a problem and covers that within our cause to get best health and wellness for everyone. Original, natural, unadulterated food intake and nutrition is a major step towards health and wellness.
As we grow our community of experts and practitioners, we started to mandate free service by every practitioners onboarding UYI system. In other words, in addition to paid service the practitioner need to mandatorily provide free-of-cost services. This is designed to ensure we keep up our value system to help and service the global community around our cause.
Like any initiative, UYI traversed through many bottlenecks in execution, thoughts and in choosing between options coming in our front; some of the key ones are as below:
- We are still facing challenges in taking our cause to Africa, South America, Russia and Middle East. UYI is global and must help and support people at every corner of globe.
- Blogging and content creation. We didn't match the expectation and speed of blogging and content generation. The amount of work we did since our last newsletter is way more than the associated content and reports we created.
- Generating funds for our projects and activities (see below). We need more than revenue generation from our regular practices by practitioners.
- Distribution of Holistic Wellness accessories like Yoga mats/kits, Naturopathy kits, Acupressure kits and Ayurvedic Remedy/Recipe Guides to limited needy people in different parts of the world
- Sessions/Workshops wherever possible in school/colleges/corporate offices/parks and other public places
- Lunch meal (Ayurvedic Ingredients) distribution to minimum 25 needy people every week in Orange County (venue - Orange County Gurudwara or Irvine Temple or similar). This will be planned only after COVID pandemic/local Govt./County approval.
- Hosting and Software enhancement expenses of www.unleashyourimmunity.com platform. Mobile App building to promote UYI's cause and people to help each other improving our healthcare and systems.
Barring small misses/failures - "We will continue to keep our momentum in making our communities and people realize the importance of preventive care, wellness and complete health (physical and mental) through a variety of Alternative Healthcare systems like Naturopathy, Yoga, Ayurveda, etc." And this we certainly can do only as a collaborative community who help each other succeed in achieving great health.
