How has COVID-19 changed the CSE experience? |
| | At this time, due to the social distancing guidelines set forth by Governor Polis, we have moved all classes online until April 30th. We are excited to say that we have had a resoundingly positive response from students! Students participate in a combination of 'live' classes (hosted using web conferencing software) and a variety of interactive materials and activities. | | |
| | Students can find their classes on ClassReach. Each teacher sets guidelines for participation each day in their Class Agenda so students know what they need to do to get points for attendance, participation, homework, and assessments. Click the button below to see a sample Agenda. Students can communicate with their peers, teachers, and the administrative staff at any time using the 'Messages' function. | | |

Congratulations to two CSE students, Maria Virginia and Vladimir, who have recently taken the next step of their educational journey by utilizing our Pathways Program to transfer to Community College of Denver (CCD)! These students earned excellent grades in our highest level classes and received high scores on the exit exams. They received a certificate and a letter from our director attesting to their college-ready English skills, which allowed them to bypass the CCD application requirement to score a 57 on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) IBT. We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors! |

| | Last session, CSE hosted a spooky Halloween party complete with a pumpkin carving contest, karaoke, and a costume contest! | | |
| | We also gathered gently used toys, books, games, and school supplies to donate to A Precious Child during their holiday toy drive. | | |
