What's New with AM?
Academic Memories has undergone a rebrand! We are hoping to have a more modernized take with our site, as well as make the research guides easier to read.
Hi! My name is Kate Leinenweber and I am a junior at Arizona State University. I am majoring in Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology with a minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. I have spent the last two summers working full time at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (as well as part time in the Spring), where I worked on a project researching Alzheimer's associated genes through stem cell-derived cultures including brain organoids and microglia.
Currently, I am a volunteer science writer for Academic Memories and an assistant TA for the molecular genetics lab at ASU. My research interests generally lie in neuroscience and Alzheimer's disease, so you'll see me writing a lot about that! Outside of the scientific world I am a huge fan of D&D and rock climbing, and I love cooking and baking, especially desserts!
