Avaye Rood (SYD) - Persian-inspired tunes

Saturday 18 May 1-4pm

Support act to be announced soon

The Hive fundraiser bar will be open and food will be available

Discover the harmonious fusion of Persian-inspired tunes by آوای رود / Avaye Rood coming to Queanbeyan this May. Listen and learn about their latest single Majnoon

Formed in 2006 under the musical vision of Behzad Ansari, this ensemble has been making waves globally - from Iran, Germany, Greece, to Australia and beyond. Their music is harmonious fusion of Persian-inspired originals, seamlessly weaving together English and Persian verses inspired by Rumi. The band's name, translating to 'sound of the river,' pays homage to an ancient Iranian instrument, evoking the spirit of a lute.

This is the second of three events to be held this year as part of a South of Sydney (SOS) music tour which supports live music in vibrant regional communities. The first event with True Vibenation was sensational and was an evening to remember. Just saying!
