At the beginning of the month we welcomed our new baby girl to the family. Alexandra was born at home with the help of a midwife. We are slowly adjusting to life with two little kids (it sure is different) but loving getting to know this tiny human and seeing how much her older sister loves her too.
We are also in the fall rush of completing projects as we get ready for winter. With the driveway up to our house now completed (Whoop! Whoop!) Norwin has been working on a new eggmobile to house our expanding laying flock. There's also lots of hay to haul home for the winter, manure to pile and one very important job: installing an automatic, geothermal heated, livestock waterer. For years now, in the winter, we have been running a garden hose once a day for the cows, then rolling it up and bringing it inside to keep from freezing. We are looking forward to having that job permanently eliminated!!
