In Just Capital's 2021 survey of the People’s Priorities, “The board of directors holds executives accountable to the interests of its workers, customers, communities, and the environment, as well as shareholders,” emerged as the third-most important issue to the public, representing over 10% of their rankings model.

    The connection between human capital and core corporate/ESG strategy will become increasingly visible. It is the employees after all that need to deliver on companies' sustainability commitments and goals.

     

    In this article published by WEF, they summarise findings by LinkedIn who warn that demand for green talent is outstripping supply and calls for action on reskilling and upskilling.
