We Remain Committed

Hello there, come celebrate two years of strategizing for justice

2021 Symposium on Conscious Law Enforcement & Inclusive Practices

Symposium on Conscious Law Enforcement and Inclusive Practices

The SFJ Symposium on Conscious Law Enforcement and Inclusive Practices (SCLE & IP) is just around the corner! Check out our full schedule and pick up your ticket today to ensure your spot is reserved. We look forward to seeing you at this exciting and inspiring event.

Our theme for 2021 is Change Isn't Easy, But It’s Necessary. Our team decided on this topic due to the climate and the call for change across the country. In staying true to the mission of Strategies for Justice, we are looking to provide space for building strategies for justice by utilizing the power of stories as a foundation for reform. We recognize this is not an easy task, but it is a necessary first step for having meaningful conversations and pushing for reform.

What we mean by Conscious Law Enforcement

The first step is to develop a consciousness of the impact of generational trauma on community and law enforcement relations through learning, engaging, and building a pathway toward healing.

What we mean by Inclusive Practices

The second step is to develop inclusive practices inside and outside of law enforcement by documenting our consciousness and engaging in teaching, research, and legislative change.

This Symposium takes place virtually on April 8, 9,10, of 2021
