Many of my clients have asked when will I be holding in-person sessions again. As the risk is still high for everyone, I will be slowly phasing back to two days a week for in-person sessions and will remain at two days only through the end of the year. I will also continue to provide telehealth services for all those who do not wish to have in-person sessions. The first phase of my return to office will begin June 1st. It will begin with just one day a week for the month of June. I will prioritize clients who have issues with confidentiality at home and would clinically benefit from coming into the office versus telehealth services. There will be new guidelines for all in-person sessions. I have taken precautions and bought an air purifier for my office as well as cleaning products to ensure all surfaces will be clean for everyone. I will be asking each client who has immediate need of in-person sessions and ask that if you do not have privacy issues, you please wait patiently until I can offer more in-person space in the future. Please take note of the following changes to sessions which go into effect June 1st. |
|
- You and I will both be wearing masks for the entire time we are in contact.
- Sessions will now begin at ten minutes after the hour. All sessions remain 50 minutes long, but will begin for example, at 1:10 pm or 5:10 pm, and end on the hour. This is to help reduce cross traffic in the lobby area.
- You should attempt to arrive as close to your appointment time as possible and text me that you are parked and I will respond advising if it is clear to come up.
- Please do not come in for an in-person session if you are sick or anyone in your household is sick. We will schedule a telehealth session in lieu of an in-person one if this is the case.
- Any payments will continue to be made to either the card on file, or through an invoice sent to you, to avoid physical contact.
- You will also notice my chair will be further away from you. It is not in any way meant to be taken personally. It is for the safety of you and your family, as well as my own.

5 Tips for COPING with COVID: - Get some Nature – go outside, walk, hike, garden, bring in a plant to your office space to de-stress your home workspace.
- Take Breaks from your Screen – Stretch, take deep breaths, close your eyes for 30 seconds. Do this OFTEN...at least every hour.
- Create a Schedule – If you haven't made one yet...now is the time. It should include an appropriate bed and wake time. Be sure to schedule breaks but keep them short. Don’t work longer than your normal work day used to be!
|
|
- Hygiene & Self Care – don’t stop it, wash up daily, fix yourself up as normal, get dressed in real clothes - no PJs all day.
- Designate a Work Area (or two) – that’s not your Bed, has good lighting and is not a high traffic/high distraction area. Add your personal touches – especially for comfort – invest in that expensive office chair, desk, or headset. Working or schooling from home could be more long term than most anticipated and many companies that can support work from home employees are reporting that they plan to continue it for the next few months.
