My Heroes So excited as the epic friendship of FDR and Churchill, two giants (and my personal heros) who joined forces to save Western Civilization, comes to life in my new Alex Hawke novel! I plan to dedicate this book to the honor of the incredibly brave Band of Brothers who went ashore that day knowing full well that they were risking their lives to save our world.May God bless them forever more. 6 June 1944. Never forget. |

Under the Spell of F. Scott Fitzgerald You might know that Ted's inspiration to become a writer came to him in sophomore year of high school when he read This Side of Paradise. Ted was under the spell of Scott Fitzgerald forevermore. FSF paid a huge price for his art. He died a poor, forgotten man. Ted dips into The Price Was High when he is writing to remember how it is done. Here's the foreword: "I have asked a lot of my emotions -- 120 stories. The price was high, right up with Kipling, because there was one little drop of something, not blood, not a tear, not my seed but me more intimately than these, in every story, it was the extra I had. Now it is gone and I am just like you now."

Introducing...Admiral Hawke "Research for the new Hawke book is well underway and it took me up to Hyde Park, NY, to Franklin Delano Roosevelt's beautiful estate on the Hudson. His Presidential Library (the very first one) is a treasure trove for my story. FDR and Churchill provide an exciting WWII backstory that will introduce readers to Admiral Hawke, Alex's great-grandfather, who is working for Winston doing daring commando raids behind Nazi enemy lines! Great stuff, I promise!"

Nick's McIver's Sopwith Eureka! A great find. A wood, cloth and aluminum model of the WWI Sopwith Camel fighter plane that Nick McIver -- boy hero -- learns to pilot in Ted's New York Times Bestselling young adult novel, The Time Pirate. It's now hanging in a place of honor in Ted's Writer's Block office.

Now, That's a Boat. These Wally boats are serious 'Hollywood Money,' but they are nothing short of spectacular! Alex Hawke's yacht, 'Blackhawke,' carries two Wally tenders. Alex jokes, sorta, that he can't afford the heavy iron depicted in this photograph.
