Program News

On July 11, we heard how a thriving ecosystem supports economic growth. Stacy Ratner and Matt Hurley shared their success stories and the importance of investing in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The event featured opening remarks by Hy Bunn, President and CEO of Springfield-based BUNN.

What's an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem you ask?

"A supportive environment where entrepreneurs can flourish and grow requiring a core of large established businesses, entrepreneurs reinvesting to support new entrepreneurial activity, and an information-rich environment in which the information is both accessible and shared."

Meet our Student Worker: Welcome Charlie Newman!

Charlie is a rising Sophomore at Lanphier High School. He enjoys playing football and is interested in pursuing a business degree upon graduation.  We're excited to partner with Charlie through the Summer Youth Initiative from the Springfield Project and the Springfield Black Chamber of Commerce.  He made us this awesome GIF, which we love (and he also set the record straight on how to pronounce GIF).
