FROM THE EMBERS

Dear readers,

We're back! After a long hiatus, Torch Literary Arts is preparing to relaunch this Fall 2015. Updates and advancements include a full redesign of our website and the addition of scheduled live events in Austin, TX including the Wildfire Reading Series at BookWoman and Wordy Girls, a youth reading and writing circle. As founder, I'm overjoyed to see TORCH return and grow in its mission to support the work of black women and girls through creative writing. With your support, we're able to share the work of emerging and established black women writers and build a community of meaningful collaborations with allies. Subscribe to the newsletter, TORCH :: FLARE, and receive updates on our progress as well as other news and special events.

Warmly,

Amanda Johnston

Founding Editor & Executive Director
