May 9th was the 2nd annual National Fentanyl Awareness Day where over 700 + organizations help to spread the word on the dangers of fentanyl.
There were many free, virtual webinars with experts on a variety of topics related to the illicit fentanyl crisis.
We wanted to include two of these below. You can find more on the Song for Charlie website:
This time of year can be stressful for parents and students. Here are a few gentle reminders:
1) when your kiddo is stressed, overwhelmed, etc... your job may not be to solve. Perhaps they desperately need these feelings to be witnessed, heard, seen, and held.
2) it may help to remember these are their emotions, they don't have to be yours.
3) this is their journey, parenting from fear and frustration rarely supports the relationship during these times of pressure and stress.
Hope this helps. You are doing great! Remember to give yourself grace and to care for yourself! Courtney xoxo
