Hello there wizards!

We are now in the month of February. This month is about our connections to the people within our circles or communities and those we love most. Which to me is a place of great power that we all share on some level. With great power Comes great responsibility.  Look after those you care for and I hope this month you find yourself in good company while finding ways to make your magick useful in every way.  Come join me in the forums and share your experiences. I look forward to what you have to share.

The Coterie of the Flowing Waters
 

Greetings all ! I find that I like to reflect over the past year, on the good and the not so good. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and that even in the worst of times, if nothing else, there is a lesson to be learned.
 

The fight for points rages on and you are all doing me proud as your Prefect! During the role of Prefect, there are times when it becomes challenging and it is easy to lose track of the positives, but watching you all represent our lodge so finely has made me proud of each and every one of you! We will continue to fight on, we can all hold our

head high, knowing we’ve fought hard for every point.
 

For those of you who have been busy over the festive season, Provost Kingsley has released a list of physical classes, so be sure to procure and examine the list - it certainly looks great! I’m sure you’ll all join me in thanking the leadership team for their constant hard work in helping our school to expand.
 

I would also like to use this opportunity to say a warm welcome to those joining us for the first time, both faculty and pupils - welcome to the Grey School family, it is a pleasure to have you with us.

Welcome to February, my fellow Flames!

I have to say that I appreciate all the interaction we've been seeing on the forums! Our challenge answers have been great! Don’t be afraid to respond to one another, as there is such great potential for us to converse! The same for the weekly meet and greets, along with our vMoots, and Discord!

Leadership Opportunities: Every term we have a chance for an apprentice to serve as a Prefect for the lodge. Do you have some great ideas for how the lodge could improve?  How the Prefect could do a better job at things?  How to get the lodge more engaged in the events of the school?  Here is your chance! This is the month that applications will need to be submitted (accepted up to one month before the end of term, which is around Mar 21st)

Monthly Challenge:We have an important challenge this month: fire safety! Regardless of the time of year, fire is something we use in many aspects in our lives, and complacency in its use can be dangerous! Let’s all learn together by checking out the challenge!

Greetings Apprentices and Magisters of the Spire.

Prefect Macanrothaic here for the monthly low-down and giddy-up! I want to thank everyone for their hard work in January 2022! The term is quickly coming to an end, and it has been most honoring of you to have meas your Prefect.

Now, Let’s applaud those who were awarded merits in January:
-Apprentices AquariusFox, Christoper Draven, DamionX, LunaSkye, Minerva, and Tanner.

Let’s also give a warm welcome to our new Apprentices Nightshade, AquariusFox, Ben, Aquila,  YddetOdessa,  KyleMacKay, Lotus, and LexiWe.

In other news we have our Lodge Celebration coming up! We are planning our celebration for February 19th. We've already some good stuff planned for the celebration though If you have something that you would like to contribute, all winds are welcome! The theme for the celebration is Power and Communication.
Let me know if you have something you'd  like to contribute so we can schedule you into the event.

Merry meet, Stones and Happy February!

Lots, lots, LOTS to talk about in this month’s newsletter, so let’s dig in!

Say hello to our newest members: Apprentices Lance Owen, Luna, Ahlyah, Peri, DamionX and Kitty. Welcome to the Stones Lodge, we’re glad you’re here!

February finds us knee-deep in the energy of Aquarius - adventurous and innovative - before moving into the dreamy, compassionate Pisces. As you’ll see, both will serve you well this is a month for inspiration and imagination. Change is coming -Spring is just around the corner- and it’s up to you to decide where you want to go. Of course, you don’t have to figure it out on your own; this is a great time to try some new divination methods and seek some guidance. 

Congrats to Apprentices Ahlyah, Draco Rufus, Gemini Silva and Peri for completing January’s challenge and earning a merit for our lodge!

You can also earn merits by achieving a 100% on a final exam.

Congratulations to Apprentice Luxx for achieving a perfect score on a final in January! Well done!

We have a new challenge this month - time to show off your creative problem-solving skills! - and the new term is just over a month away, so lots to cover there too! We’ll talk more about what to expect, as well as our upcoming leadership election, awards and Moots! Of course, to get all this great info, you’ll have to read the full newsletter!

A message from your Vice-Captain
 

Greetings and Salutations one and all.
Welcome to February. It is still midwinter here in the Pacific-Northwest of the United States.

All the gardening dreams are nestled in my head. Each day I remind myself it is too soon to start seeds for the garden. Well at least for the physical garden outside my home. It is the perfect time to be planting the seeds of my plans for my journey here at the Grey School of Wizardry! I have spent the winter contemplating different possibilities for my path in 2022, what Apprentice activities I wish to participate in, work with and perhaps be president of.

I have also been spending a great deal of time evaluating myself and exactly what my Wizardly path is. How do I walk my path now and where does this path seem to be going, as well as any changes to last years processes that I want to make for this new year? After all, Wizards are all about thinking!

There have been a lot of changes happening the last 6-8 weeks with Grey School! I encourage everyone to watch the Provost's Candle side chats, Two Wizards Talk podcast with Provost Kingsley and Frater Adservio as well as Headmaster's Ides of Oberon. These provide wonderful learning experiences, details of what's happening with our school and a connection with each other. These can all be found in the forums.
