Hosted by the Arts and Business Council of Greater Nashville, Periscope is a year-long intensive training opportunity that empowers working artists to see their creative practice through an entrepreneurial lens. The program includes 8 weeks of entrepreneurial training followed by 6 months of one-on-one mentorship, and it concludes with the Periscope Pitch + Artist Entrepreneur Showcase Event at Oz Arts Nashville.
Next month, Artistic Director Sarah Atenhan will compete for the Perfect Pitch Award along with seven Periscope finalists. They're pitching Satellite Dance to hundreds of people across the arts and business sectors with the goals of fostering connections and growing the non-profit.
Channeling the Olympic spirit, Sarah passed the preliminary round in July and is hard at work honing the messaging and creativity to reach a wider audience for Satellite in under four minutes.
Support Satellite and find out if Sarah can beat her PB of 3:58 on Wednesday, September 4th! 🥇
This month, we're excited to feature special guests Kellie McDaniel and Jess Thomas on Sundays for Intermediate+ Aerial Sling.
Back by popular demand, Jess is leading Chair Flow on August 18th!
Our 2024-2025 school year kicked off this past Monday for our youngsters! We have a stellar year planned, from circus-like trickery to contemporary aerial dance and even extra performance opportunities.
We're proud to partner with Hermitage Dance Academy and Amped Fitness to offer weekly classes for people ages eight and up.

This is a dream come true. We are honored to partner with the Hermitage Public Library to bring patrons a morning of dance and interactive storytelling.
This is not just a performance but a freeopportunity for all of us to engage in a lively demonstration of the relationship between literature and the performing arts. Brave attendees will even get to create a short dance with Satellite!
Thank you to the Tennessee Arts Commission for the support for this two-part program. Two parts? Yes. Stay tuned in the weeks to come for more exciting news!
