Sarah made it to the Periscope finals!

Hosted by the Arts and Business Council of Greater Nashville, Periscope is a year-long intensive training opportunity that empowers working artists to see their creative practice through an entrepreneurial lens. The program includes 8 weeks of entrepreneurial training followed by 6 months of one-on-one mentorship, and it concludes with the Periscope Pitch + Artist Entrepreneur Showcase Event at Oz Arts Nashville.

Next month, Artistic Director Sarah Atenhan will compete for the Perfect Pitch Award along with seven Periscope finalists. They're pitching Satellite Dance to hundreds of people across the arts and business sectors with the goals of fostering connections and growing the non-profit.

Channeling the Olympic spirit, Sarah passed the preliminary round in July and is hard at work honing the messaging and creativity to reach a wider audience for Satellite in under four minutes.

Support Satellite and find out if Sarah can beat her PB of 3:58 on Wednesday, September 4th! 🥇

Satellite Dance Presents: Storyscapes

This is a dream come true. We are honored to partner with the Hermitage Public Library to bring patrons a morning of dance and interactive storytelling.

This is not just a performance but a free opportunity for all of us to engage in a lively demonstration of the relationship between literature and the performing arts. Brave attendees will even get to create a short dance with Satellite!

Thank you to the Tennessee Arts Commission for the support for this two-part program. Two parts? Yes. Stay tuned in the weeks to come for more exciting news!

In the meantime, we'll see you at the library!
