RECAP: SOUTHSIDE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT'S FALL WIFFLE-BALL BASH 2023

The Southside Youth Development Fall Wiffle-Ball Bash, in collaboration with the Bridge Builder Collective, was a resounding success, bringing our community together in an unforgettable way on October 28th at Emma Wheeler Field. The Kappa Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., made significant contributions by grilling delicious food, adding to the festive atmosphere of the event.

The day was marked by spirited wiffle-ball games, delectable food, and a sense of unity that showcased the power of community support. Beyond the competition, families enjoyed a variety of activities, making lasting memories, while funds raised during the event will go towards empowering our youth through Southside Youth Development. CELEBRATING A SUCCESSFUL COLLABORATION: THE BRIDGE BUILDER COLLECTIVE AND DALEWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL'S ANNUAL TRUNK OR TREAT EVENT

We are delighted to reflect on the successful collaboration between The Bridge Builder Collective and Dalewood Middle School for the annual Trunk or Treat event, which took place on Monday, October 30, 2023. The event was a resounding success, bringing together students, families, and the community for a joyous and safe celebration. The collective efforts of our team and the Dalewood Middle School community contributed to the creation of lasting memories and a sense of togetherness on this festive occasion.

THE SCENIC CITY SHOWDOWN: A FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP LIKE NO OTHER

In December, The Bridge Builder Collective is set to collaborate with the Kappa Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., in partnership with the City of Chattanooga's Mayor's Office to host the Scenic City Football Champion Trophy Luncheon. This special occasion will recognize one of three local high schools (Brainerd High School, The Howard School, Tyner High School) that attains the best overall winning record by the season's end. Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 9, 2023, as we come together to celebrate the winning team and their dedicated staff with a trophy presentation and a delightful lunch at Goodfellas Pizzeria.
 

SAVE THE DATE: DONALD D. STONE JR. MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Join us on Saturday, September 21, 2024, as we come together to honor the enduring legacy of Donald D. Stone, Jr. A true beacon in our community, Mr. Stone's indomitable spirit and commitment to service made him a trailblazer. Notably, he holds the distinction of being the first African-American appointed as Deputy Administrator for the Department of Public Works in Chattanooga, TN. To celebrate his life and contributions, we are proud to announce the Donald D. Stone Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament. This event promises not only a day of friendly competition on the golf course but also an opportunity to carry forward Mr. Stone's dedication to community betterment. Proceeds from this event will benefit the programs and initiatives of our organization.
