"Every election is determined by the people who show up.”

-Keith Ellison

The biggest thing you can do right now for the climate is to VOTE. This month, we are providing information to help you to make informed decisions as you vote during this election cycle.

What is an Environmental Voter?

  • The Environmental Voter Project estimates that over 8 million people concerned about the environment did not vote in the 2020 presidential election. Over 12 million skipped the 2018 midterms. Hear why a concerned citizen who takes every personal action to help protect the environment is missing out on their biggest opportunity by not voting.

  • If we want leaders to act to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we need to reach a critical mass of consistent environmental voters that is too big for politicians to ignore. That means every election, big or small, we all need to vote!

  • Click below to learn more about the candidates and issues. We did hours of research, with a particular focus on climate policy, justice and equity, voting access, and conflict of interest concerns. We included links to candidate sites and news articles.

Voting Guide with our take on candidates/issues

  • Early voting is important! It makes it easier for poll workers on the day of the election and makes it less likely that you will get a provisional ballot as you can vote anywhere in your county.

  • Your advocacy task...personally ask 5 friends to vote and to VOTE EARLY! Talk about the smaller positions and why they are important. Let's do this!
