Congratulations to our active members who applied this spring.

This spring's mini-grant requests came from a variety of districts as well as teachers and paras working to help students within their schools.

One application that was poignant was a team effort to get incoming 9th graders to feel connected to their school especially with the pandemic. This was a critical piece to connect them for success and to feel part of their family. The mini-grant helped make that happen in a very short time with a lot of creativity.

Also because of the pandemic, there was a real need for books at home especially to be able to read to younger brothers and sisters, online, and pride of ownership. Many books were of the social emotional themes, which tied into their coping skills.

Active Members: Watch for next fall's Mini Grant Applications!

More News & Updates

Members of CDSRA are continuing to make and deliver goodies to some of our members that are living in senior living facilities. See below for the latest update!

"Connections" Project

in Action

Last month Easter Bunnies, Dave Gelb and Brielle Seitz, delivered some of the goodies. Brielle, a 3rd grader whose grandma is member Deb Lacy, was so excited about the project that she designed and created much of this month's "Mother's Day Surprise."

Have you had your COVID Vaccine?

Anyone over the age of 16 is now eligible to receive the vaccine.

Some thoughts on the receiving the vaccine:

"I finally was able to hug my kids and grandkids again!"

"Hope is here! What a RELIEF!"

"This is how we dealt with Polio and other diseases!"

"Please get the shot to help others and get our community open again!"
