About RAFMAA's Slope Soaring Events Our slope soaring events are very inclusive and all experience levels and disciplines are welcome to attend. Whether you fly a Zagi, a foamie motor glider or even a V-tail all-carbon racer you can join in the action. We will be running a series of competitions as part of our annual slope championships at this event and everyone is welcome to join in and get involved. If competing isn’t your thing though dont worry, you are still equally welcome to come and just fly for fun! |

RAFMAA SLOPE 2022 This event takes place over three days, Friday-Sunday, 08th-10th July and may be located at various different slope sites within the beautiful Wiltshire countryside surrounding Devizes. Specific flying locations will be selected on a day-by-day basis depending on weather conditions. The event is hosted by our "man-on-the-ground" and longtime RAFMAA member Steve Hart who's gliding experience and knowledge of the local area is second to none. The event is very inclusive and all experience levels and disciplines are welcome to attend. Whether you fly a Zagi, a foamie motor glider or even a V-tail all-carbon racer you can join in the action. |

This event holds duty status but Serving members are politely reminded that to entitle you to attend the event on duty (ie. not put any leave in) you are required to compete in at least one of the competitions. Admin Order available HERE or within members area of website |

As part of RAFMAA's annual Championships, we aim to run the following competitions at this event; |

- 2 Channel aerobatics (Zagi Funfly)
- Open Pylon
- Cross country

Members are requested to rendezvous in the Subway lounge adjacent to the Devizes travelodge (SN10 2HL) at 10:00 sharp on the first day of the event. You will require your own transport to "convoy" onto whichever flying site is selected. Tickets for the event are free of charge to RAFMAA members but should be reserved by clicking the RSVP link below so that we have an idea of numbers and no-one is left behind. Cold and wet weather gear is a must along with a decent pair of walking boots for those inevitable retrieval moments! |

Accommodation is available at extra cost at the Devizes Travelodge HERE but must be booked separately. Please book early to avoid disappointment. |
