Introducing my newest furbaby Misty. She came to my place for a visit for two weeks in April. She is very smart, sweet, spunky and cuddly. Upon the end of the two weeks, her elderly dog-mom, (whom I've known since I was only 6 years old) asked if I'd like to adopt her. She is worried about not being able to care for her to the degree she deserves. With me, she will get regular walks, a great big yard to run around in, cuddles with art kids, easier access to veterinary care and grooming. As heart-wrenching as it was for her to give up her dog, she knows it's the right decision to make. I'm so very honoured to have been chosen as her new dog-mom. Since losing Daisy in March, I've been searching for older unwanted smaller-medium dogs on many rescue sites. Misty landed in my lap at the right time. We need each other equally. Misty is 12 years old. Her 13th will be celebrated in November - and she may even get a buddy between now and then. Stay tuned for that update:) I looked at and donated to many sites with beautiful souls - and there are just so many out there searching for homes, that I thought maybe you'd like to take a look too:) | | |
