Hi, -
Did you catch the eclipse in April?
Here in Montreal, we witnessed one minute of breathtaking totality.
The next morning, as I turned on the TV while stuffing lunch boxes, I couldn’t shake a feeling of dissonance. Hours earlier, millions of us stood together to marvel at the sky and acknowledge our shared humanity, yet the news cycle swiftly returned to familiar scenes of conflict.
Fast forward to Mother’s Day, and a new sense of dissonance emerged.
On the day that celebrates the experience of motherhood, we often get caught up in bouquets, brunches, and survival tales of the terrible twos and teenage years. But we shouldn’t overlook the deeper financial and economic needs of mothers.
Instead of traditional gift lists, let’s prioritize what families really need to thrive.
I shared my 2024 Mother's Day wish list on LinkedIn. Have you seen it?
