Greetings from Dale and Valerie
As humans we long to be connected. We need to be seen and known, and we need to see and know others. After hosting two 6-week “heart circle” groups last year, Dale and I are convinced that these gatherings can help people meet that human longing for connection.
So how does it work? Well, the good news is that it’s deceptively and gloriously simple. We sit in a circle, speak spontaneously or hold to silence, facilitate as a group, and agree that we want to be clear, present, real, connected, and directed from our hearts. People also agree to arrive and leave on time, to maintain confidentiality, and to make an effort to speak and listen from the heart, not the head.
In every circle we’ve been in, we’ve noticed how quickly participants begin to feel a shift. We experiment with re-framing our conditioned responses, and play with a new way of being seen and heard. We've felt a sense of safety and appreciation, and we've also noticed how much fun people can be.
If this sounds like something you'd like to explore in your life, sign up now. We limit the group to 8 participants to ensure that everyone will feel spacious and safe.
Dale and I are committed to this process. Not only have we hosted these circles in our home, we are also part of an international community with Tej Steiner, founder of the heart circle concept and author of the fundamental human user guide, Waking Up With Everyone Around Us.
As for what to expect, the gatherings offer stillness, clarity, connection, and a peaceful way of being - that’s it! They begin with silence, then a quick check-in, then appreciations, then the simple but profound process of giving sustained attention to yourself and others, then closing. Group-supported self-inquiry is accessible to everyone.
