For our Visitors & their Canine Companions When you are walking around Bryn Du next, look for 4 signs like this one around the campus! They are just a few of the ways we are honoring Quincy and enhancing the property. Big thanks go to Jennifer Peters of JP Design for her incredible design work and for helping to bring these signs to fruition, and to Anne Ciotola for taking the beautiful photos that were used. Finally, thank you to those who donated to these efforts! We truly appreciate your support. |

| | In Memory Of It is with great saddness that we acknowledge the passing of retired Bryn Du Commission Board Member, Larry Bicking II last month. Mr. Bicking was a board member for Bryn Du for almost 10 years and was instrumental in grounds development among many other things. "I cherished his guidance throughout his entire tenure on our Board. He was a wealth of knowledge and an effective, positive member of the team. We loved his dry wit and easy-going personality. Larry will be sincerely missed," said Executive Director Bruce Cramer. Please read more about Mr. Bicking's life at the link below. | | |

| | History Corner Spring feels like it has officially sprung! We love finally being able to enjoy the beautiful green grass, blue skies and general cheerfulnes around the Bryn Du campus. Almost 60 years ago, another beautiful day was being had here at Bryn Du. Above is a photograph taken in May of 1963. This snapshot in time shows Jane Dunscombe, friend and frequent visitor of Sallie Jones, standing in the lovely sunlight at Bryn Du. Ms. Dunscombe, and the horse and rider in the background, are at the horse paddock on the west side of the Mansion. We love being able to see the barn and silos so clearly in the distance. | | |

| | Plein Air Painting Exhibit We have mentioned, COPA (Central Ohio Plein Air Society), our favorite plein air painters before... but do you know what "plein air" means? Plein air is simply the act of painting or creating art outside! These amazing artists put together a beautiful art exhibit in the Art Center's Eddie Wolfe Gallery last month. Twenty original pieces of art were available for sale. All were either painted outside at Bryn Du recently or were of beautiful spring flowers. Thank you to all who visited or participated in the show! | | |
|
| | An Enchanted Forest The end of the school year is coming and we were happy to have Granville High School's Prom in the Bryn Du Fieldhouse. This year's theme, "Enchanted Forest", was a gorgeous one! A walkway of beautiful greenery greeted hundreds of prom-goers upon entrance at the Fieldhouse terrace doors. They were then led to a large arch filled with lush-looking foliage. Below was a beautifully decorated dance floor complete with sparkling lights, draped fabric, ivy and white flowers. It was a very special night for all. | | |
