Indigenous Led Walk- Edible and Medicinal Plants September 10th, 2022 1:00PM - 3:00PM Votier's Flats Fish Creek Provincial Park 13511 Elbow Dr, SW Calgary AB, T2W 2P2 CEP Calgary is pleased to invite you, alongside partners Friends of Fish Creek Society and Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society Southern Alberta (CPAWS SAB), to a late summer nature walk with Elder Pablo Russell! You will learn about Indigenous Ways of Knowing for edible and medicinal plants in our very own beloved Fish Creek Provincial Park. The walk will be approximately 2 hours and will occur rain or shine. Please come prepared with appropriate footwear, clothing, bugspray, sunscreen, water, and snacks. The park has public bathroom facilities and the walk will be light activity level only. We will meet at Votier's Flats parking lot. We believe this event should be accessible to all who want to participate, so we’ve introduced a sliding scale ticket model with a minimum cost of $10. We invite those wish to pay more than $10 to do so to ensure we can compensate our Elder for his time and energy. | | |
