Hello!  

Made it to America!  For those interested, once cleared for travel with negative COVID tests, getting out of the UK and into Boston was a breeze.  We will see how our return to the UK goes.  It's great to be home, seeing family and friends.  We've already been through Maine, Providence, Boston and staying here in pretty Plymouth with columnist (and friend) Nancy Mendelson, happy to see busy restaurants and life without masks.  

Anyway, as I've been on the road, light on news, but here's a few important industry stories you shouldn't miss!

• Space travel. Today Richard Branson was the first civilian to travel to the edge of space and back.  Are we witnessing the dawn of a new era in travel? Jeff Bezos is planning to make a similar trip in nine days.  Stay tuned for the final frontier!?
• Return of business travel.  Yesterday, Bloomberg ran an impressive story, predicting that the urge to go back to in-person gatherings is tied to the fast-pace economic recovery in the U.S. Some airlines executives have said they expect a strong rebound in U.S. corporate travel after Labor Day, when many workers will be returning to offices.  They highlight that the recovery is still very uneven with very informative graphs.  Definitely worth reading!
