The outdoor art markets and indoor shows I am usually busy with have been cancelled, so I've had more time explore new directions. A recently unpacked bandsaw, techniques from recent workshops, and boxes I haven't rummaged through in a while have provided me with inspiration to move forward.

I call this piece 'Escape'. I wasn’t consciously responding to being stuck at home, but it probably had an influence. The figure coming out of the dark is joined by a little bird sitting on top of its cage, another escapee.

As much as I am enjoying working on sculptures, I haven't given up making new functional pieces. This mirror started with a piece of old tin that I saved from a vintage pretzel can.

Thanks for taking the time to see what I'm up to.
