Happy Easter

My Dearest Shiny Stars!

When I settled in for my morning meditations/reflections, I found myself resting with how touched I’ve been by my work with you. A familiar feeling arose of wishing I could wrap my heart around those I work with and hold them until their pain subsides. I began to see a theme of resurrection that I would like to share with you.

Most of you found me when your beloved animal/pet crossed and you needed support and comfort. For those of you who came to me for other reasons, I believe we all have places in our hearts and minds which would benefit from being deeply present with Love, and so perhaps in a different form, this message may apply.

Many were looking for tangible signs that your pet was still with you, and wanted to know what those were. Your animals went there with us, indulged us if you will, to an extent. They’ve also taken us in a different direction, and here’s where the theme of resurrection comes in.

It’s always fun trying to wrap words around these impressions, and here goes. As you find your way back to your heart and become more present with the love you hold for them there, you will see more clearly in the ways your eyes don’t see, that their spirit/soul never left and are never more than a breath and a thought away. You’ll find the answers you seek in the love your hearts share.

More tangible ways may come as you resurrect the love within yourself and remove the limits and expectations you’ve given to the forms of its expression, and they may not. It will matter less. Faith in what you cannot see comes first. You may find it difficult to trust in what your eyes don’t see; easier though to trust the love you hold in your heart. Place your faith there and what you need will come.

All things in the end lead us more deeply and wholeheartedly back to love when we learn to allow them to. I’m sure you’ve read, or we’ve spoken to, the idea that the depth of our pain reflects the depth of our love. It’s normal to close our hearts at first when they feel broken. There is great wisdom in that. As we continue to rest against its edge and become more deeply present with our pain, miracles show themselves.

As I’ve learned to be more present with you in your grief, my ability to stay present with my own has helped me love myself more deeply than I ever imagined. My horizons have expanded and I have found meaning in places I would never have thought to look. This has been one of your many gifts to me.

So, in summary, I share for you the wish your animals have so graciously shared with me time and time again - the resurrection of your very deepest love, even and especially in any of the corners of your heart and mind that need and turn away from it most.

In Deepest Love and Gratitude,

Vicki
