Welcome to the December newsletter from Spotlight Cascais and THANK YOU so much for subscribing. December is almost upon us and with it comes magical lights and plenty festivities. There are Christmas markets galore, tree lighting in Lisbon (Nov 30th @7pm - Praça do Comercio) and unveiling of the lights in Cascais (Nov 25th @6pm). Highlights

Besides all the festive season hoopla, the other thing that's super cool is the immersive Salvador Dali that's now open in Lisbon at Mãe d'Água das Amoreiras Reservoir. This is a unique venue/museum and it's worth going to see the ornate 18th-century reservoir complex with fountains. If Dali is not your thing, there is also an immersive show featuring Monet and Klimt.

Guimas: a new restaurant in Cascais

With their friendly staff, fun atmosphere, tasty food, Guimas is certain to become a neighborhood favorite.

NEW YEAR’S EVE – FIREWORKS at various places:  

In Cascais Bay, there will be a concert and a countdown to NYE with fireworks at midnight, lighting the skies of Cascais to greet the New Year. There will also be fireworks at Tamariz beach (Estoril), and in Lisbon, the NY festivities are at the Praça do Comercio.
