Ce Live Window Art Show est un cadeau de bienvenue de l’artiste à la communauté et fait partie du projet CHEZ NOUS CHEZ VOUS, inspiré de la tradition attentionnée, gentille et bienveillante de nos partenaires Kanien'keha:ka (Mohawks) d'accueillir les "ami-e-s venu-e-s de pays lointains".Ce projet est réalisé dans le cadre de l’entente entre le ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration et la Ville de Montréal (MIFI-Ville 2021-2024).

Come meet me this Saturday, October 16, from 12-5pm, at the Native Immigrant Art Studio.

You will discover the collection of random objects that I use as part of my creative process to make art talismans. Between 2 and 3 pm, I will also offer a free tarot card reading!

This Live Window Art Show is a welcome gift to the community from the artist and is part of the CHEZ NOUS CHEZ VOUS project, inspired by our Kanien'keha:ka (Mohawk) partners' caring, kind and benevolent tradition of welcoming "friends from far away lands".

This project is carried out under the agreement between the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration and the City of Montreal (MIFI-Ville 2021-2024).

Ce talisman porte-bonheur contient des objets trouvés en Colombie et au Canada. Il contient une main ouverte attachée à une figurine de de soccer sur table dans un cadre recyclé. Les mains ouvertes ont été utilisées comme symboles de chance et de protection dans de nombreuses cultures. L'arrière-plan est composé de l'as  de pentacles, l'une des cartes les plus puissantes du jeu de tarot. Il représente la manifestation et l'abondance.

This good luck talisman includes found objects from Colombia and Canada. It contains an open hand attached to a table soccer figure in an upcycled frame. Open hands have been used as good luck and protection symbols in many cultures.  The background is composed of the ace of coins, one of the most powerful cards in the Tarot deck. It represents manifestation and abundance.
