WELCOME TO CULTURAL CONVERSATIONS FIRST NEWSLETTER.

SMALL ACTS MULTIPLIED BY THOUSANDS CAN TRANSFORM THE WORLD.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou kātoa. Welcome to our first newsletter.

A massive thank you to all those contributing to our mahi. Life has certainly been very busy for us in a wonderful way. Our Courageous Conversations have been very well received by the Nelson community and continue to blossom inside The Refinery Art Space for one more week.

We have a variety of music events to choose from and purses from Afghanistan which are for sale at our event on Monday 23rd May.

Our crew is growing.

We welcome Chandra Tandukar to the team with his infectious smile and huge heart.

"Cultural Conversations is a space that celebrates and respects diversity and unites people from different communities. It is a space to learn and teach, to give to others and to receive. A space for everyone and co-created by all"

- Karolina Serrano (Trustee and originally from Colombia).

OUR LOCAL STORIES

We were incredibly privileged to hear the Story of the Barden Party with a Courageous Conversation from Director Laura Irish. Laura went right to the very beginning of her life and how she had travelled before settling in Nelson. It was sad and heartbreaking in lots of places but inspiring and hopeful in others. We wish Laura all the best for her upcoming tour of the US.
