Hip Hip Hooray

It's Publication Day!

Publication days are the strangest thing... They seem to take forever to get here, but at the same time they suddenly appear and take you by surprise! But I'm really happy that this one is here, because I can't wait to share Louisa's story with you. It has such a poignant message of hope that seems so appropriate for the world we find ourselves living in at the moment.

I also submitted the first draft of my next book to my editor yesterday, so although I'm now on tenterhooks a little until I find out what she thinks, what wonderful timing! I'm off to a remote Scottish island next, but more about that other time...

Thank you so much to everyone who has already bought a copy of After the Crash, and if you haven't, but would like to, now's your chance. Just click on the button below.

It's a book about grief. It's a book about family. It's a book about forgiveness. It's a book about love. It's a book about many things, but ultimately it's a book which proves that hope is just one of the things your heart can hold.

Since the sudden death of her husband in a car accident, writer Louisa Adams has done her best to hold herself together. But every morning seems more painful than the last as she wakes to find his side of the bed cold and empty. And with William gone, and  struggling to make ends meet, she's been forced to give up their beloved home and move into the crumbling seaside hotel her daughter and son-in-law have just bought.

Unable to write for months and with her career falling apart around her, Louisa is offered one final chance – to write an article about a reclusive local sand artist, Isaac. Except that, when he turns to greet her – tall, handsome, weather-worn and wearing the same dusty pink shirt her husband once owned – her heart skips a beat.

But as she begins to learn more about Isaac, the man and his art, she finds herself drawn to the way he celebrates life. The way he finds a little moment of hope in each and every day. Could they be the thing to show Louisa the path back to her own happiness?

But with her deadline fast approaching, the discovery of a drawing in one of Isaac’s sketchbooks exposes a secret that could tear her family and her heart apart all over again…
