TCIM -"The Catalyst In Me"  is a careers and science communication blog ran by Adama Saccoh. The website provides a wealth of content across various themes. There are monthly career profiles, regular science communication content and resources focused on personal development, career building and learning science. The overarching aim is to be a resource centre for anyone wanting to pursue a life science career, showcasing my journey alongside others as well and making science more accessible to the general public. 

Career  Profiles

A minimum of two career profiles are shared per month. These range from recent graduates to seasoned professionals that have a life science backgrounds. Their end goals may not be the same but all journeys in or out of science are rooted in the common life science background. 

Resources 

The journey to establishing a career cannot be summarised in career profiles alone. TCIM resources are created to help you reflect based on your current position while taking inspiration from career profiles. The resources reflect my personal journey and things I have found useful and picked up along the way.

Science Communication 

Science communication is the process of translating scientific information to non specialist audiences. The way people communicate is very different and this section goes through my journey in science communication as I explore different ways in making science more accessible and enjoyable to the general public. 

Public perception of science 

Covid-19 brought science back to the forefront of conversation. Will it change the public perception of science. Here are the results of a survey conducted July 2020 alongside updated Covid-19 resources and summary blog posts.
