Greetings,
I hope this message finds you well! I wanted to wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year, as well as send a few updates!
I find this time of year a bit crazy, dividing my time between family, work, in-general trying to get everything done for the holidays, finding time to work out, and maybe even some downtime….it takes work, that’s for sure.
Over the past few years my clients, colleagues, and family have helped me evolve in so many ways as a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, coach, leader, and healer. And, I want to express how grateful I am for the opportunity to turn my passion for helping people recover their health. It started off with my family and friends, and grown to now helping people all over the United States.
And of course at the end of the year I like to reflect on the past and the future. My guess is you are also taking some time to think about all of the ways you’d like to grow into the best and truest version of yourself in 2020.
Here are my goals for 2020...
Continue to learn new ways to optimize my clients health. In 2019, I took a 3 month long course in Blood Chemistry. I will be sharing what I learned and hopefully helping you understand that even though you may have been told “your blood work looks great!” it often hides imbalances that can be used to help you optimize your health. When I look at someone’s blood chemistry I am looking for underlying imbalances in your blood work, which can help find the root cause(s) for poor health and dysfunction. Rather than identifying or diagnosing a disease. We all know that disease free does not necessarily mean truly healthy or that optimal health is being attained. As a functional practitioner I am always thinking in terms of optimal function. I work to identify imbalances in hopes of preventing disease - ideally long before it manifests.
My cooking has gotten a little boring lately, so I plan to cook one new meal a week. And, hopefully get my family on board with finding new recipes as well. We all have to deal with this, and I know it can get tough!
Come up with a fitness challenge. I have not figured out what this is yet, but I will. It will most likely change over the year, not racing anymore in triathlons or running races use to keep me on track. Now, I switch things up with strength, running, yoga, working on mobility and the latest is the peloton bike! Woot, woot!!! (My husband wants you to know that this was not his idea;)!
I would like to delegate more chores to my kids. I do too much for them and realize they are capable of doing more and this will help them grow as well.
Here are some of my blog posts from 2019 in case you missed them:
And more:)!
I often post on Facebook and Instagram, so if you haven’t visited my social media sites, please do so! They’re great places for sharing tips and interacting with others in our community.
