April is Month of the Military Child. I think we can all agree that military kids are amazing!
They are resilient, well travelled, and often, closely tied to family. They can also experience a separateness from their nonmilitary peers and develop acute anxiety about things that they do not have the life experience to understand.
This month, take some time to:
APPRECIATE the military kids in your life or in yourself.
ACKNOWLEDGE the sacrifices that they have made for the service of others and
make them AWARE of their value to you and to this world.
If you, your child or someone you know is experiencing isolation and/or is chronically anxious,
please ASSIST them by helping them find someone to talk to professionally.
The LFT website offers a list of local professionals and online resources for those in need of a listening ear.
Many of those listed specialize in treating children and teens.
On April 15 Central Virginia will decide which Rose' is the best. YOU can be there AND, you can VOTE! After you vote, bid on some cool stuff at the auction and help out LFT.
Register today for Parade Rest Virginia's special race that will benefit Living Free Together and other local veteran focused organizations. Parade Rest Va has been investing in the lives of our families and the vision of LFT for 7 years. We are incredibly grateful to them and to those this race honors.
