Rusty - A New Postcard Poem |
|
|
Dear Friends, I have a little poem to share that has recently been published online by HOOT Review. The poem is posted with an image of rust, which gave me the idea to create the silhouette below. I'm sharing the poem here, beside the silhouette, but please also be sure to visit the post at HOOT, where Rusty is posted along with another rust image, a delicious Citrus Solstice poem by Elizabeth Kuelbs, and audio recordings of both poems. |

Rusty Please forgive me. I’m a bit rusty socially.
It’s been a while since I spoke out loud, in person.
I cough up must and dust, broken thoughts and rust.
Tonight, I tried to pry my voice box open with a screwdriver.
Now I’m too sleepy for words. I guess that wasn’t the key. ~ Linda Eve Diamond |
