Covid 19 - Updates from 4-H PEI

April 3rd, 2020

The PEI Board has agreed to further suspend all in person meetings, activities and events until May 11, 2020 (following with the Public Schools Branch) although we do fully anticipate this date will be extended further. This means that NO meetings or events should be happening with members in person, including in an outdoor or barn setting. If the member does not live on the property, they should not be attending in-person work. For leaders who are working with their own children, you are welcome to continue your project work.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Rayanne Frizzell, Administrative Director

4-H PEI, rfrizzell@pei4h.ca

4-H at Home Projects

In these unprecedented times we would like to offer our membership the opportunity to continue their 4-H year through 4-H at Home Projects. The Staff and Volunteers of 4-H PEI are working to develop resources for online learning or self directed learning. These will be a mix of Agriculture, Home Economics and STEM projects.

We are also opening these projects to non 4-H youth so they are able to get a peek into the program and hopefully recruit some new members and volunteers.

Registration for these projects is due by May 1st and project information will be uploaded to our website as it is created.

Provincial Competition Proposal FAQ

As discussed at the Provincial AGM in February and at some of your Regional meetings here are some of the FAQ's about the Provincial Competition Proposal that was presented.

The board recognizes the importance for clubs and regions to have in person conversations about this proposal and will be delaying the Special Meeting to vote on the proposal. No new date is set as a new timeline will be set when we know meeting in person is permitted. We will continue to provide updates on questions and comments to the membership and look forward to further conversation.
