Wildfire Mitigation

Eagle Ranch Association has partnered with Eagle Valley Wildland Fire for the support of healthy forests, resident wildfire assessments, and wildfire mitigation.

Tim Swaner, with Eagle Valley Wildland Fire (EVW) team, will be conducting residential wildfire assessments in Eagle Ranch beginning in Late April.

Tim Swaner brings experience and expertise in wildfire prevention and safety. His role involves assessing properties, identifying potential fire risks, and providing valuable recommendations to enhance safety measures. As a proactive step, Tim will collaborate with homeowners to ensure that our community remains resilient against wildfire threats.

Homeowners should contact Tim directly to participate in this free assessment.

Eagle County Open Space

The Eagle County Open Space Program is working to develop the Program’s first Open Space Plan which will summarize the identity of Eagle County Open Space and define the Program’s long term vision for ongoing and future protection, acquisition, and management of Eagle County Open Space properties. Learn more about the Eagle County Open Space Plan and the planning process by scrolling through our Story Map.

There are two ways to get involved:

1) Take Our Survey: We just launched a survey and are seeking your input. The survey includes sections on recreation and conservation preferences and activities, trade-offs, and visitor expectations. Please take 10-15 minutes to share your thoughts here.

2) Welcome to our Mailing List! The survey will not be the only opportunity to participate. Over the next few months we will host a variety of events, meetings, and online activities where you will be able to learn more about the Eagle County Open Space Program and the Open Space Plan and to share your feedback. If you were forwarded this email, please
sign up here for our Mailing List to stay informed about upcoming events.
